School Site Council (SSC) – 2024–2025
Link to Meeting Agenda and Minutes
The School Site Council (SSC) is an elected decision-making body made up of parents, community members, site administrators, teachers, and other school staff. The SSC is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the Site Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), and for overseeing the use of categorical funds such as Title I, English Learner, and School Improvement Program funds.
At the elementary level, the SSC consists of at least ten members—half parents/community members and half school personnel, with classroom teachers making up the majority of the staff group. One "other" staff member (non-classroom) is also included. The principal serves as an ex-officio member.
Meetings are currently held via Zoom and are open to all parents. Agendas and meeting minutes are posted in the school's front window display. Members serve a two-year term, and parents are encouraged to contact their SSC representative with questions or concerns.
If you are interested in joining the SSC, please contact Principal Darius Ashton at [email protected].
